Marketing Tips & Tricks: Why it's important to measure traffic to your website

Congratulations - your website looks amazing!

You've invested time and money into getting your website to look this good, but have you been looking at what's really happening now it's live?

For example, do you know how many people visited your website in the last month, six months or year? How did they find you? What did they look at? What device did they use? What about other website marketing metrics or measurement criteria, such as how quickly your site is accessed?

Why is all this so important?

It's critical because these figures that will tell you how your visitors are really interacting with your site, what interests them most, what were they thinking? Did they complete any actions ie. sign up to a newsletter, book a meeting or place an order? It may be very different to how you pictured it when you first designed your site.

What can you do with this information?

Put simply you can improve the visitors journey through the site, make it easier for them to get to the most interesting information faster and hopefully convert them into customers quicker. Remember your website is your online shop window. If the visitor can't find the product/service or information they are after, they'll leave and take their business with them.

If you need help with either setting up your website so that it collects this marketing data or understanding what all the information really means, contact Tadpole Marketing on enquiries@tadpolemarketing.co.uk or book a free consultation meeting.
